42-meters high and crowned with bartizans, this imposing square tower, built between 1295 and 1306 by Archbishop Gilles Aycelin on the south-east corner of the Palais Neuf, offers an exceptional view of the city. The spiral staircase of the keep with 162 steps leads to four rooms: the hemispheric room, “Treasury” room, the King's bedroom and defence room.
