The L.A.C. is home to the most unexpected exhibition space in the region, a vast and ancient wine cellar that the Dutch painter Piet Moget Layla and his daughter have completely transformed to host the works of contemporary artists. The space is bathed in a wonderful light, totalling about 2000 square meters and spread over two levels, with two very large rooms on the ground floor and three large spaces upstairs. It is a space that combines the austerity required for exhibiting art works with the charm of a wine-making heritage; some vats have become small exhibition rooms suitable for more confidential works and drawings.
